You will be asked to leave
the premises if you are not in compliance with the dress code.
Dress code
applies at every teen court event, jury terms, community
service, etc.
The following is the teen
court dress code:
-
No Jeans.
-
No shorts or Capri
pants.
-
All slacks or kakis
must be worn at the waist.
-
No Sleeveless
shirts/tank tops/muscle shirts.
-
No midriff shirts -
shirts/blouses must go below the waistline and cover chest.
-
No short skirts/dresses
- must be within 3 inches of knee.

Volunteer Dress Code
Please dress
professionally.
-
All
teens on the staff need to dress as "Professionally" as
possible.
-
Young
men should wear dress shirt/tie, nice sweater, etc.
Preferably suits.
-
Blue
jeans are not appropriate attire for staff members.
-
Young
ladies may wear nice slacks, but pant suits, skirt/dresses
are preferable.
-
Closed
toed shoes, no sandals.
-
Note,
mini-skirts defeat the purpose, as much as shorts and you
will never see low necklines on the women in actual courts,
Please use good judgment and remember that court is not a
social event.
-
No
shorts, skorts or Capris please.
-
No
walking shorts with colored hose.
It is very important
that there be an atmosphere of respect in the courtrooms,
especially since some
of the defendants may be older then some members of the staff.
The appearance and demeanor of the
staff helps set this tone.
