The Warrant Division of the Brazoria County Sheriffs Department is responsible for the processing of all warrants, bonds and case dispositions. Warrants are processed for eight Justice court offices, as well as the County and District Courts. Additional responsibilities include processing Governors Warrants and coordinating extraditions for subjects incarcerated outside of Brazoria County. The Warrant Division consists of four clerical personnel and one supervisor and is incorporated in the Patrol Division of the Sheriffs Department. In 1998 the division processed 12,078 warrants, 2,038 of which were also entered in the National Computer. In addition the division processed 10,169 bonds and coordinated 46 out of State extraditions. For more information on the Civil Process please click HERE.
