County Clerk’s Office-Juvenile Court Clerk (Full-time)

 

DO NOT CONTACT THE COUNTY CLERK’S OFFICE!

 

High School Diploma or equivalent required, or combination of education and experience.  Candidate will maintain accurate records for four County Juvenile Courts of Law by performing the following duties; files, issues, and maintains confidential juvenile court records; examines legal documents submitted to court for adherence to law or court procedures, prepares case folders, and posts, files, or routes documents, and attends court sessions; secures information for judges, attorneys, and litigants and enters data into computer; scans case documents to optical disc; assists the public by copying records, performing searches, and answering questions over the telephone and at the counter; works overtime in the Elections Department several times each year.  Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and starting salary is $14.00 per hour.  Please apply at the Brazoria County Human Resources Dept. applications may also be obtained and submitted at this website.

 

 

Immunization Clerk-Health Dept. in Clute (Full-time)

 

High school diploma or equivalent, and one to three months experience in a hospital, school or doctor’s office, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Applicant must have clerical experience in performing duties such as typing, filing, answering phones, greeting customers, operating personal computer, operating fax machine and other office equipment.    Knowledge of immunization schedule is helpful but not required.  Bilingual is also preferred but not required. The Immunization Clerk performs immunization-related activities in conjunction with other immunization staff, private health care providers, and other community volunteer organizations.  Duties include, but not limited to: 

 

·         When immunization nurse is absent, assures proper refrigeration of vaccines using a daily temperature log for any refrigerator containing vaccines

·         Operates computer to record and retrieve client information using both IMMTRAC and TWICES automated tracking systems

·         Answers telephone and provides information to both public health clients and to indigent health clients

·         Provides assistance to clinical staff as needed

·         Cooperates fully with Department of State Health Services survey teams.

·         Attends staff/safety meetings, assists in preparing Timesheet/Payroll information in respective clinic

 

Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.  Starting salary depends on qualifications and experience.  Please apply at the Brazoria County Human Resources Dept. or applications may be obtained at this website. 

 

Shelver – Pearland Library

Must be 16 years of age and have at least two years of high school.  Duties include, but are not limited to; shelving books and other library materials in alphabetical order and perform other duties as assigned.  Applicant must be able to work well with the public and possess good verbal communication skills.  Starting salary is $8.06 per hour.  Applicant must be able to work evenings and Saturdays as scheduled.  12 hours per week.  Please apply at the Brazoria County Human Resources Dept. or applications may also be obtained and submitted at this website.

 

 

 

Guardianship Administrative Assistant/Secretary (Full-time)

 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  The Guardianship Secretary provides assistance to the Guardianship Investigator by greeting and assisting all potential and current clients who call on the phone or come into the office in regards to beginning or continuing guardianship process and by performing the following duties:

Ensure that the office and all office equipment are properly maintained by reporting and coordinating work orders for repair and maintenance activities; receive and sort department mail; Distributing forms to new Guardianship clients, assisting in the initial process of seeking Guardianship; Distributing forms for current Guardians to keep cases in compliance; Notarize Reports; Scheduling appointments on new Guardianship cases coordinating with attorney’s and Investigator; Keeping Calendar for Court hearings and Guardianship visits; Type reports and letters for Investigator, make copies and distribute; Put new folders together, filing into the cabinet; Network with County Clerk/Probate & Civil Department; Printing daily Odyssey Reports and prepare for Investigator’s signature; Maintain current Attorney Ad Litem certification List for 4 County Courts at Law and Probate Court Judges; Enter Time; Processes invoices by receipting in bills; Perform receptionist duties by receiving calls from members of the public, responding to inquiries, providing information within scope of responsibility, and referring calls to Investigator as appropriate; Perform other office duties not outlined here in accordance with supervisor’s requests and assignments; Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
