Legal Secretary – CPS Division – District Attorney’s Office (Full Time)

High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Applicant must have previous legal experience, strong computer skills, previous experience working with the public, e-filing, and the ability to prioritize daily work.  Knowledge of court procedures preferred.  Applicant must also have strong word processing skills and should be familiar with discovery process, interrogatories, requests for production, drafting basic family law pleadings and correspondence and comfortable attending court proceedings and interfacing with CPS.  Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.   Pay range from $30,000 to $36,000 per year depending on experience.  Please apply at the Brazoria County Human Resources Dept. applications may also be obtained and submitted at this website.

Library Clerk- Pearland/Pearland Westside Libraries (Part-time)

Position’s duties will be split between the two branches. Candidate will be responsible for travel between branches. High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Must be able to work well with the public and possess good verbal communication skills.  Applicant must be able to type 30 WPM; a keyboarding test will be given.  Duties include, but are not limited to: responsible for daily circulation procedures; issuing library cards and checking library materials in and out; collect overdue fines and maintaining related files; assist library patrons; answer the telephone and help patrons locate library materials; take requests for materials and answer reference questions; maintain order in the library's collections and returning used items to the shelves; operate modern office equipment and perform other duties as required.  20 hours per week.  Salary is $11.77 per hour.  Applicants must be able to work evenings and weekends as necessary.  Please apply at the Brazoria County Human Resources Dept. or applications may also be obtained and submitted at this website.
