Library Clerk- Pearland/Pearland Westside Libraries (Part-time)

Position’s duties will be split between the two branches. Candidate will be responsible for travel between branches. High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Must be able to work well with the public and possess good verbal communication skills.  Applicant must be able to type 30 WPM; a keyboarding test will be given.  Duties include, but are not limited to: responsible for daily circulation procedures; issuing library cards and checking library materials in and out; collect overdue fines and maintaining related files; assist library patrons; answer the telephone and help patrons locate library materials; take requests for materials and answer reference questions; maintain order in the library's collections and returning used items to the shelves; operate modern office equipment and perform other duties as required.  24 hours per week.  Salary is $11.77 per hour.  Applicants must be able to work evenings and weekends as necessary.  Please apply at the Brazoria County Human Resources Dept. or applications may also be obtained and submitted at this website.

Secretary-District Attorney’s Office-(Full-time)

High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Candidate must be able to type 50 WPM and have strong computer knowledge, previous experience working with the public, telephone skills, and the ability to prioritize daily work.  Knowledge of court procedures preferred, but not required.  Applicant must also have strong Microsoft Office skills. This position maintains accurate records for the District Attorney’s office by performing the following duties:  maintain records, files and issues legal documents, prepares case folders, post, file and route documents, secures information for judges, attorneys, law enforcement, and litigants and enters data into computer; assists the public by copying records, performing searches, filing motions and answering questions in the office and over the phone.   Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.   Please apply at the Brazoria County Human Resources Dept. or applications may also be obtained and submitted at this website.  Starting salary is $13.22 per hour.

 

 

Library Clerk-Manvel Library (Part-time)

Must be able to work well with the public and possess good verbal communication skills.  Applicant must be able to type 30 WPM; a keyboarding test will be given.  Duties include, but are not limited to: responsible for daily circulation procedures; issuing library cards and checking library materials in and out; collect overdue fines and maintaining related files; assist library patrons; answer the telephone and help patrons locate library materials; take requests for materials and answer reference questions; maintain order in the library's collections and returning used items to the shelves; operate modern office equipment and perform other duties as required.  20 hours per week.  Salary is $11.77 per hour.  Applicants must be able to work evenings and weekends as necessary.  Please apply at the Brazoria County Human Resources Dept. or applications may also be obtained and submitted at this website.

 

 

 

Immunization Clerk-Health Dept. in Angleton (Part-time)

 

High school diploma or equivalent, and one to three months experience in a hospital, school or doctor’s office, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Applicant must have clerical experience in performing duties such as typing, filing, answering phones, greeting customers, operating personal computer, operating fax machine and other office equipment.    Knowledge of immunization schedule is helpful but not required.  Bilingual is also preferred but not required. The Immunization Clerk performs immunization-related activities in conjunction with other immunization staff, private health care providers, and other community volunteer organizations.  Duties include, but not limited to: 

 

·         When immunization nurse is absent, assures proper refrigeration of vaccines using a daily temperature log for any refrigerator containing vaccines

·         Operates computer to record and retrieve client information using both IMMTRAC and TWICES automated tracking systems

·         Answers telephone and provides information to both public health clients and to indigent health clients

·         Provides assistance to clinical staff as needed

·         Cooperates fully with Department of State Health Services survey teams.

·         Attends staff/safety meetings, assists in preparing Timesheet/Payroll information in respective clinic

 

24 hours per week; with Tuesdays and Wednesday’s, 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. required.

Shelvers – Angleton and Clute Libraries

Must be 16 years of age and have at least two years of high school.  Duties include, but are not limited to; shelving books and other library materials in alphabetical order and perform other duties as assigned.  Applicant must be able to work well with the public and possess good verbal communication skills.  Starting salary is $8.06 per hour.  Applicant must be able to work evenings and Saturdays as scheduled.  Angleton-15 hours per week and Clute-12 hours per week.  Please apply at the Brazoria County Human Resources Dept. or applications may also be obtained and submitted at this website.
