Secretary-District Attorney’s Office (Full-time)

High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Applicant must have strong computer  skills,  typing at least 45 wpm, previous experience working with the public, telephone skills, and the ability to prioritize daily work.  Knowledge of court procedures preferred, but not required.  This position maintains accurate records for the District Attorney’s office by performing the following duties:  maintain records, files and issues legal documents; prepares case folders;  post, file and route documents; prepare for and attend court dockets; secures information for judges, attorneys, law enforcement and litigants; data entry and electronic filing and reporting; assists the public by copying records, performing searches,  and answering questions in the office and over the phone.  Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.   Starting Salary is $13.75 per hour.  Please apply at the Brazoria County Human Resources Dept. or applications may also be obtained and submitted at this website.

 

Adult Probation-Intake Support Staff Position (Full-time)

*Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) required.

 

High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to type 50 words per minute and be very accurate in all phases of work.  Applicant must possess integrity and have the ability to communicate professionally with department personnel and the public. The ability to maintain confidentiality is imperative.  Skilled level of computer knowledge is necessary and must be able to attend training as needed.  Duties include but are not limited to; answering, screening, forwarding telephone calls and taking messages, directing mail to the proper Community Supervision Officers, setting up files on new cases, accurate data entry, pictures of defendants, back up teller/cashier,  Notary,  run TCIC/NCIC (requires certification),   preparing transfer ins, stripping and scanning closed files, back up class scheduling and group intake, assisting  CSOs as needed,  complete FBI request, military request and supervision termination letters, fingerprinting,  DNA and special projects as required.  Hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.  Starting salary is $13.77 per hour, but will also depend on qualifications and experience.  Please apply at the Brazoria County Human Resources Dept. or applications may be obtained and submitted at this website.

 

Shelver – Pearland Westside Library

Must be 16 years of age and have at least two years of high school.  Duties include, but are not limited to; shelving books and other library materials in alphabetical order and perform other duties as assigned.  Applicant must be able to work well with the public and possess good verbal communication skills.  Starting salary is $7.90 per hour.  Applicant must be able to work evenings and Saturdays as scheduled.  12 hours per week.  Applicant must be available for some morning and afternoon hours between 9-4.  Please apply at the Brazoria County Human Resources Dept. or applications may also be obtained and submitted at this website.

 

 

 

Health Dept. – Part-time, Clerk Angleton

 

High School Diploma or equivalent required, or combination of education and experience.  Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.  Knowledge of immunization schedule is helpful but not required.  Duties include, but are not limited to; greeting clients, complete forms, data entry, and general office duties as assigned.  24 hours per week and starting salary is $11.54 per hour.  Hours are flexible, but you must be able to work Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and prefer Fridays 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.  Please apply at the Brazoria County Human Resources Dept. or applications may also be obtained and submitted at this website.

 

 

 

Library Clerk-Pearland Library (Part-time)

High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Must be able to work well with the public and possess good verbal communication skills.  Applicant must be able to type 30 WPM; a keyboarding test will be given.  Duties include, but are not limited to; operate on-line automated computer system, send and receive books and other materials to and from other libraries, collect fine money, keep statistics, answer phone, type, file and perform other duties as assigned.  Salary is $11.54 per hour.  17 hours per week.  Applicant must be able to work evenings and weekends as necessary.  Please apply at the Brazoria County Human Resources Dept. or applications may also be obtained and submitted at this website.
