EVENTS

As part of our commitment to the community, the Brazoria County CSCD's Victim Services Program is actively involved in a number of activities assisting victims of crime.

OPERATION SLEEP TIGHT/SLEEP SAFE                                                        

Annual sponsorship of a clothing drive to support The Women’s Center of Brazoria County by collecting donations of new sleep wear, for adults & children, to be donated to the Battered Women’s Shelters to aid victims of domestic violence & sexual assault.

 

 

 

SUPPORT GROUPS

Assistance with Crime Victims Outreach of Brazoria County and other developing support groups.

CANDLELIGHT VIGIL & CHRISTMAS LIGHTING

Assistance with two annual events, a Candlelight Vigil & Christmas Tree Lighting sponsored by the Brazoria County District Attorney as a memorial and support to victims of violent crime.

 

 

 

INFORMATIONAL SEMINARS

Participate in interagency community events to promote education and support of victims of crime in Brazoria County.

NATIONAL CRIME VICTIMS' RIGHTS WEEK

Active participation in regional ceremonies and events memorializing, recognizing, and supporting victim issues and rights.

 

 

 

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS WEEK

Support to raise community awareness, educate and support victims of domestic violence.
